Our Founders
Gafarou aka Sam aka “Jaamann”
Afro-Italian producer and DJ, Sam, is the RfG founder and a project visionaire. He relocated from Burkina Faso to Italy at a young age where he grew up listening to music genres such as Rock, Hip Hop and RnB. When he moved to Berlin, he encountered a new beat, tempo and rhythm with infinite sound combinations that lured him into the Techno scene. Since 2018 he has been focussing on the development of his young NGO.
“I believe that no human being is born to be forgotten or left behind. I learned to be part of a new community and now ready to help another one, with rave for good. I'd like to give more opportunities and trust to young people in third world countries. A message I want to give to young immigrants like me is: never forget your roots! Let's rave more for good ♡” https://soundcloud.com/jaamann Resident Dj, Booking, Events, RfG Voice jaamann@raveforgood.berlin |
Matt aka “The Relative Zero”
Originally from Boulder, Colorado USA, Matt studied at the University of Arts in Philadelphia, and lived in New York City before coming to Berlin 6 years ago. Since moving to Berlin, he has established himself as a performing musician (The Relative Zero), teacher, and audio engineer. Matt owns and manages Relativ Studios, a professional music recording and production studio located in Neukölln, Berlin. For Matt, also a founder, Rave for Good is something very special.
“I believe that everyone should find ways in their life to give back to the world. Some people have loads of money and can just donate, but for us artists, we must search for another way to give back. RfG is one of my ways of converting music and community into a helping hand for the people of the world in need.“ https://soundcloud.com/therelativezero Resident Dj, Sound, Finance matt@raveforgood.berlin |
Marco aka “Creti”
Creti, another RfG founder, took his first steps in the world of events in 2001, back then in his hometown in a non-profit association for the promotion of culture and youth in the form of a music and concert club. As he got older, his music taste changed from hip hop and metal to an electronic direction, where he started producing music, djing and organizing events. Since Berlin acted as a source of inspiration he decided to move to the German capital in 2015.
“I immersed myself in the scene and met many great people and like-minded musicians. From these acquaintances great projects were to form. One of the first was RfG. The idea of using a rave to do something good was just right, so I was very happy to be part of the first rave and still am today.” https://soundcloud.com/creti Resident Dj, Events, Booking, Graphic, IT creti@raveforgood.berlin |
Diana aka “Berliner Redhead”
Diana is an experienced Project Manager, artist and also official RfG founder. She met Sam in 2020, where they talked about the project and his vision. She liked it right away and decided to join the team. She is currently involved with the financial and administrational tasks around the organization. Art and Music have always played an essential role in her lifestyle. Diana loves dancing under electronic downtempo beats as it helps her connect and take a break from everything.
“About RfG…It makes me feel great - it gives me energy, joy and I don't feel so powerless anymore. I know about my privileges and luck being born in Germany so I wanna give something back <3” Fundings, Finance, Administration diana@raveforgood.berlin |
Antoine aka "Tony”
Tony is originally from Montréal (Canada) and studies in Berlin. In the past years he has been focused on sustainability and alternative technical solutions for agriculture and energy supply. Thanks to his technical knowledge, he has been supporting RfG with special regard to water and energy projects.
He is also a techno party mouse and one of his passions falls particularly under events and festival planning. Tony has also been a part of Rave for Good since it’s inception, supporting Sam's vision of raving for a good cause. Events, Project Manager tony@raveforgood.berlin |
